The purpose of this review is to ensure that Albertans are receiving a fair share from energy development through royalties, taxes and fees. The review focuses on all aspects of the royalty system, including oil sands, conventional oil, and natural gas including coalbed methane.</p> </div> </div></div>

<div class="flexinode-body flexinode-1"><div class="flexinode-textarea-1"><div class="form-item"> <label>Description: </label> <p><strong>June 7 - Tarsands and the &#39;Alberta Advantage&#39;: Understanding the Big Picture</strong><br />Diana Gibson, Research Director, Parkland Institute<br />TBA </p><p>Join the <a href="http://www.ualberta.ca/">University of Alberta</a>&#39;s <a href="http://www.uofaweb.ualberta.ca/arts/CSLhome.cfm">Community Service-Learning Program</a> and the <a href="http://www.ualberta.ca/%7Eparkland">Parkland Institute</a> for a five-week speaker series that explores the impacts of the oil industry on Albertan communities. This series of talks is part of an interdisciplinary course at the University of Alberta that explores these themes by combining course work with community-facing projects in Fort McMurray.
