About the Conference

Featuring the following keynotes:

  • Chris Turner, author of The Geography of Hope: A Tour of the World We Need
  • Craig Kielburger, founder of Free the Children
  • Geoff Green, adventurer, educator, and founder of Students On Ice

This is the annual conference of the GEOEC (Global, Environmental, and Outdoor Education Council of Alberta), which has partnered with several other groups, including ACEE and the ATA, to bring you this conference.  Teachers and educators from the non-formal sector are invited to attend this conference, which will be a forum to share, celebrate, and promote promising practices for developing engaged global citizens for the 21st Century.
