This year the Edmonton Film Fest will be featuring the film H2Oil. It is a film that asks: What is more important, water or oil? Will the quest for profit overshadow efforts to protect public health and the environment in Canada's richest province? 

In addition many local organizations will be co-hosting an interactive panel with the director Shannon Walsh,  George Poitras of the Mikisew Cree First Nation, Eriel Deranger of the Rainforest Action Network, MacDonald Stainsby of Oil Sands Truth and Heather Milton Lightning of the Indigenous Environmental Network.
