YEP Speaker Event: Calgary's Alderman's speak about sustainability

Description:
Young Environmental Professionals Aldermen Brian Pincott (Ward 11) and John Mar (Ward 8) and potentially other Aldermen will discuss "sustainability" initiatives in the city and their community. Each Alderman will speak for 10 minutes about environmental concerns and create an opportunity to discuss the specific actions they plan on taking as Alderman. There will be a 20 minutes Question & Answer period at the end. Date: Wednesday, Nov. 14

Alberta Low Impact Development Partnership and the City of Edmonton are pleased to present a low impact development conference, "Innovations in Urban Development". The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for participants to gain a greater understanding of low impact development concepts and real life initiatives. The conference will include a workshop as well as key presentations over a wide range of topics. Topics will include storm water management, wetland and riparian area protection, land use bylaws, LID practices in urban drainages and more.
