Wildflower Seed Planting Workshop

<div class="flexinode-body flexinode-1"><div class="flexinode-textarea-1"><div class="form-item"> <label>Description: </label> <p>Sponsored by the <a href="http://eng.fanweb.ca">Edmonton Naturalization Group</a> and <a href="http://www.bedrockseedbank.com/">Bedrock Seedbank</a> </p><p>Everyone is invited to this year&#39;s Wildflower Seed Planting Workshop. It will be held on Sunday February 10th, from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm at Riverdale Hall, 9231 100 Avenue. This is a chance to try your hand at growing perennial wildflowers and grasses from seed. It&#39;s easier than you think!</p><p>A wide variety of local native wildflower and grass seeds will be on hand. Pots and potting soil will be supplied, and there will be lots of experienced gardeners to answer all your questions. </p><p>When you take your pots of seeds home, either pop them outside under the snow for safekeeping till spring, or give them an early start in a sunny window.</p><p>The instructor will be Bruce Bashforth of Bedrock Seedbank. This will be his second year of leading the workshop. This year Bruce will also have fact sheets and care instructions available for participants to take home. ENG&#39;s book &quot;Go Wild! with easy to grow prairie wildflowers and grasses&quot; will be on sale for $10. <br /><br />The cost of admission will be $5 at the door and $2 for each 12 pack of seeds planted. Admission will be free for Riverdalians. Please register in advance to be sure of a place.
