Otesha, which means "reason to dream" in Swahili, was created to mobilize youth to create local and global change through their daily consumer choices. We believe that there are alternatives to our culture of overconsumption, and that each one of us has opportunities to have positive impacts every single day.

The Otesha Project's education programs and bicycle tours use theatre, multi-media, and storytelling to engage a wide range of audiences, and have reached over 60,000 people to date. We aim to demonstrate the positive effects our everyday choices can have, by living sustainably, changing the world, and having loads of fun--all at the same time!

Our intrepid Rocky Mountain Tour has crossed the mountains to arrive in Calgary and will be performing our award-winning Morning Choices play after the Arusha Centre's Infoactive Happy Hour.

The team started in Vancouver at the beginning of May, and have been living sustainably on the road, traveling by bicycle and offering presentations and workshops on sustainability and global citizenship to schools and communities throughout British Columbia and Western Alberta.

The Rocky Mountain Tour is finishing here, in Calgary, and the team would love to meet you and share their message and their experiences with you.

Date: Friday June 29, 2007
Time: 7 PM
Location: Arusha Centre (106 - 223 12 Avenue SW Calgary, AB)

For more information on the local stop, call Steve at 471-3777.

For more information on the Otesha Project, go to www.otesha.ca.
