APEGGA Annual Conference - Alternative Energy Sources Seminar

<div class="flexinode-body flexinode-1"><div class="flexinode-textfield-2"><div class="form-item"> <label>Location: </label> Calgary </div> </div><div class="flexinode-textarea-1"><div class="form-item"> <label>Description: </label> <p>The <a href="http://www.apegga.ca">Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA)</a> has included a one-day seminar on alternative energy sources in the professional development program of its upcoming 2007 conference. Non-members of APEGGA are welcome to register for the conference.</p><p>The alternative energy sources seminar is facilitated by Marlo Raynolds, Executive Director <br />of the Pembina Institute, and includes the following topics:</p><ul><li>Context for New Energy Economy, by Marlo Raynolds of the Pembina Institute;</li><li>Drake Landing Solar Community, by Gordon Howell and John Kokko;</li><li>Wind, by Ray McKay of Enmax</li><li>Non-Conventional Methane Production, by Ian Thomson of Canadian Bioenergy Corporation; and</li><li>Solar Case Study, by Kaz Schmocha of the Alberta Research Council.</li></ul><p>The seminar will conclude with a panel discussion.</p><p>The alternative energy sources seminar runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Friday, April 27, 2007, in the Telus Convention Centre in downtown Calgary. Registration costs $350.00 and must be paid before April 5, 2007.
