Application Deadline: NRCB Policy Advisory Group Alternates

Name of Initiative: Natural Resources Conservation Board (NRCB) Policy Advisory Group (PAG) Introduction: The Alberta Environmental Network has received a request to name two (2) alternate members to the NRCB policy advisory group (PAG). The NRCB delivers the Agricultural Operation Practices Act and provides broad governance, administrative policy, and appeals. The Policy Advisory Group (PAG) is a multi-stakeholder advisory committee that provides advice to the Chief Executive Officer of the Natural Resources Conservation Board (NRCB) on matters related to the effective delivery of the Agricultural Operation Practices Act (AOPA). Time Commitment: The Policy Advisory Group will meet quarterly. As its work is implemented, this may be reduced to semi-annually. Alternate members are generally expected to attend only when the primary member is unavailable, however there are provisions for 'observers' to attend PAG meetings. Alternates are expected to liaise with primary members as necessary Expenses: Expense will be provided for the person acting as the primary PAG member. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Payment of per diems will be determined by the Policy Advisory Group. AEN Candidate Criteria

  1. Alberta-based ENGO and AEN member in good standing;
  2. Understanding of AOPA and administrative policy generally;
  3. Multi-stakeholder committee experience and willingness to network with an appropriate AEN reference group (AEN Agriculture Caucus).
