This is a remote, work from home, virtual, online working position with priority given to people who live in so-called Canada.

Position Summary

Indigenous Climate Action is seeking a skilled, motivated, and passionate Communications Coordinator to support the Director of Communications in developing, organizing and managing ICA communications and public relations internally and externally.

This position reports to the Director of Communications and will work in partnership with senior staff and Directors to support the amplification of ICA programs and opportunities, our network partners campaigns and opportunities for engagement, and support strategies for traditional media and social media engagement to strengthen the overall public perception of ICA.

To succeed as Communications Coordinator/Lead, you should be able to think creatively, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience working with Indigenous-led organizations and structures that challenges systems of colonization, white supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism is an asset.
