The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is seeking public comments until 31 May, 2019 to inform the development of two regulations to support the government’s proposed new Impact Assessment Act(External link):

  • The Information Requirements and Time Management Regulations would include information requirements for the planning phase, and set clear criteria under which legislated timelines could be suspended. The Discussion Paper on Information Requirements and Time Management Regulatory Proposal explains the proposed regulations, and provides context on how information and timelines would be managed in implementation of the proposed new impact assessment system.
