The Alberta Environmental Network (AEN) connects Albertans and environmental groups that are dedicated to preserving and protecting Alberta’s environment. As a non-profit and non-partisan organization, the AEN supports collaboration of the environmental community throughout the province.

We are a network of individuals and groups working together on shared concerns. AEN members include individuals and representatives from member groups that connect, collaborate and share information.

The AEN is a link between the environmental community and government, industry, the media and all Albertans.

Albertans and environmental groups are welcome to join the AEN as members – there are memberships for both individuals and groups. Alberta Ecotrust Grant Application Deadlines

Alberta Ecotrust Foundation is the leader in building partnerships to create sustainable environmental benefits in communities throughout Alberta. Non-profit groups and charitable organizations can apply for grant funding to help support environmental initiatives the will lead to:

  • Protection of the atmosphere, including clean air, and the mitigation of climate change;
  • Protection and restoration of wilderness, ecosystems and wildlife habitat; and
  • Protection and conservation of water and/or the maintenance of water quality.

Alberta Stewardship Network Announces New Grant Program

Alberta Stewardship Network

There is a tremendous grassroots effort in Alberta that helps care for watersheds and water resources in the province. Under 'Water for Life: Alberta's Strategy for Sustainability,' the Government of Alberta (GOA) and its partners recognizes these efforts, and to further support them, the GOA has provided funds to the Alberta Stewardship Network (ASN) to provide support for watershed stewardship groups. A watershed is an area of land, bounded by topographic features that drain water to a shared destination such as a lake, river or ocean. Read More
