Eco-philosopher and Buddhist scholar Joanna Macy is lead facilitator for the Workshop: Leading for the Great Turning which starts with a Summer Arts Festival event the night of May 15th featuring story, song and reflection in the Max Bell Theatre. Adventure film maker Leanne Allison will take us on a journey with eco-philosopher Joanna Macy, now eighty. A true elder and contemporary visionary, Joanna’s reflections will be supported by the music of California singer song writer Jennifer Berezan and award winning special guest musician Joel Kroeker. Joanna’s clear voice and compassionate insight offer a powerful alternative to the pervasive sense of powerlessness, cynicism and despair felt by so many in the face of the overwhelming challenges of our times.

Reception at 7 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $12 at The Banff Centre Box Office. The 16th and 17th daytime workshop sessions run from 9 am to 5 pm at The Banff Centre each day. To register visit
