U of A Sustainability Awareness Week

October 19, 2015 - 6:00am to October 23, 2015 - 6:00am

From October 19 to 23, 2015, there are over 55 free workshops, tours and events across four campuses: it’s Sustainability Awareness Week (SAW), your chance to explore social, environmental and economic challenges and solutions. Inline image 1

All are welcome, including alumni and the general public. Events take place across three University of Alberta campuses, inlcuding North Campus, Augustana Campus and Campus Saint-Jean as well as MacEwan University. SAW is coordinated by the University of Alberta's Office of Sustainability in partnership with dozens of campus and community organizations.

Discover issues that matter to you, meet people taking action on campus and in their community and learn how anyone can get involved in making a difference.

SAW kicks off on Monday, October 19 at 11:30am. Join us in UAlberta’s Main Quad for a celebration with live music powered entirely by the bicycles of Music is a Weapon. A local food BBQ will be provided, courtesy of Aramark – but arrive early as there are limited supplies.

Some events require pre-registration. Be sure to reserve your spot early to avoid disappointment. The registration deadline for most events is Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:59 p.m.
