Oldman Watershed Bus Tour

June 22, 2010 - 6:00am

The grass is green, the leaves are out and summer is trying to show its face!  It's a great time of year to get out there and learn more about our wonderful Alberta wilderness.  The Alberta Wilderness Association invites you join them on a bus tour through the Oldman River watershed in southwestern Alberta.

The Oldman River watershed is a diverse and varied environment. As part of the larger South Saskatchewan River watershed, this area faces a number of opportunities and challenges. This one-day bus tour will stop at several key locations and an Alberta Wilderness Association Conservation Specialist will brief the group at each stop. Watch for pelicans and other water birds on Chain Lakes.  Enter the foothills and enjoy the spectacular view from a popular lookout.  Relax and enjoy lunch while listening to the rumble of Oldman Falls.  Bring your sense of adventure and an inquisitive mind.  Leave the rest to us.

A picnic lunch is included in the price.  Please bring a travel mug and your own supply of water for the day.

AWA members: $55; Non-members: $65
