February 27, 2010 - 4:00pm to 10:30pm
Who's invited: All members of the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance Society

Website: http://nswa.ab.ca/civicrm/event/info?id=2&reset=1

The health of every community, whether rural or urban, small or large, depends on the health of the watershed in which it resides. The work of the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance centers around the North Saskatchewan River and its watershed, meaning all the lakes and streams that flow into it.

Who is the NSWA? The North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance (NSWA) is a non-profit society whose purpose is to protect and improve water quality and ecosystem functioning in the North Saskatchewan River watershed in Alberta. The organization is guided by a Board of Directors composed of member organizations from within the watershed. It is the provincially designated Watershed Planning and Advisory Council (WPAC) for the North Saskatchewan River under the Government of Alberta's Water for Life Strategy.

This meeting will be a great opportunity for members to get an update on the work of the NSWA Society since the Annual General Meeting last June, including information on the Integrated Watershed Management Plan for our watershed.

All Individual and Organization members are welcome! If you are not a member, and would like to join, please follow this link: http://nswa.ab.ca/membership

Please remember that if you work or volunteer for an organization listed under our Current membership, then you are most welcome to attend this meeting. This meeting is not just for designated and alternative representatives.
