To help support our grantees and grant applicants in their future fundraising and grant-writing efforts, we are hosting an evening session on Monday, January 26th entitled, "Ideas to Impacts".

Session Overview

Save yourself from last-minute crazed and frantic bouts of writing grant proposals. Learn how funders think when reading proposals. Increase your confidence and improve your chances for success by being prepared and strategic; ready to meet a variety of deadlines and application requirements.

Participants will learn:

  • Methods for moving beyond great ideas to thinking about impacts
  • Practical ideas for thinking strategically about grants
  • How to create your message and solutions 'framing' from budgets and content
  • How to describe social change outcomes

About the Speakers

Pat Letizia
Alberta Ecotrust Foundation

Pat Letizia has been with the foundation since 1996. She is known for her enthusiasm and candor, and is an ardent champion for the environment and the voluntary sector. She has significant experience in local, provincial and national arenas of environmental philanthropy and non-profit program development, and is regularly invited to contribute her ideas and expertise in a range of advisory and leadership roles. Pat has a BSc (Honours) from The University of Calgary and is currently embarking on graduate studies in Environmental Communications.
