Inspiring sustainable action in your city
Please join the City of Edmonton and community partners for a one-day forum to discuss issues of energy transition, climate change and building a sustainable future. The intent of this one-day event is for citizens to:
- learn more about Edmonton's Community Energy Transition Strategy
- learn from local residents that are leaders in renewable energy, sustainable building, active transportation and urban planning
- inspire local action
This event will give residents an opportunity to understand the impacts of climate change while focusing on local solutions.
Cost: $20
Conference sessions will focus on local actions to reduce climate impacts and greenhouse gas emissions, and feature keynote speeches by Mayor Don Iveson and Majora Carter, American urban revitalization strategist and public radio host.
This is not a forum exclusively for those who already have a strong understanding of environmental issues and solutions. The different sessions offered throughout the day will be tiered for different levels of understanding. If you are curious about energy transition, climate change and building a sustainable future and want to learn more, please join us and be inspired!
