The Inaugural Eco Solar Commercial Tour
After many years of arranging tours of homes in Edmonton the Eco Solar Tour is branching out to commercial buildings. This year as part of Environment Week we have arranged tours of 5 different commercial buildings to demonstrate energy efficient practices.
When are the Tours?
The Eco Solar Commercial Tour will feature one commercial building per day during Environment Week. Each day, from Monday to Friday, June 4th to the 8th, one building will be open for touring from 11 am until 3 pm. See the list of buildings on the COMMERCIAL TOUR page for details of each building and the specific hours they will be open each day.
Who should come?
The Eco Solar Commercial Tour is intended to show business owners and those involved in commercial construction how energy efficient design features can be incorporated into new or exiting buildings. Designers, contractors, builders, owners, government, and any other interested parties are welcome to attend these free tours.
What will I see?
What interests you? Solar electricity or solar hot water? Geothermal heating or water collection and reuse? Retrofit or new construction? The Tour will feature businesses that are doing their part to reduce their energy efficiency and to improve the working environment for their employees.
Where is the tour?

How do I get there?
No pre-registration is required. You go to each site and speak with the business operators and technical experts. The commercial tour sites are widely spread throughout the City and you will need to arrange your own transportation to get to them.
