A Climate of Change - Episode 11: David Dodge

July 2, 2020 - 7:05pm

From the Calgary Climate Hub website:

Join us for our new weekly speaker series about what comes next as it relates to our country, the economic system and the climate crisis once the coronovirus has come and gone. Each week, Canadian thought leaders will answer three questions:

  1. What are your top three 'teachable moments' from this time?
  2. Big picture: What can we expect of a post-COVID-19 world?
  3. What does Alberta look like on the other side of this and what would be optimal?

There will be time for Q&A.

We go live at 7:05 so you can continue showing your support for medical and front-line workers.

This week will be our final session before a summer hiatus. Our guest will be David Dodge. David is an environmental journalist and a photojournalist who has worked for newspapers, published magazines, produced radio and was the production manager for a Canadian nature publisher. He produced more than 350 award-winning EcoFile radio programs on sustainability for the CKUA Radio network. David has worked for not-for-profit organizations such as the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society and the Pembina Institute. He serves as co-chair of Edmonton’s Energy Transition Advisory Committee and is also involved with Evansdale Community League in his neighbourhood where he’s led solar and energy efficiency projects. His community league gets all of its electricity from solar energy on a net-annual basis. He's a host of Green Energy Futures, a multi-media storytelling project that is documenting the clean energy revolution that’s already underway.

We’ll be broadcasting to you via Facebook Live where you can participate in the night’s conversation by asking the questions you think need answering via the live-feed. Or, you can sign up for a Zoom link.
