Jan 26 2012 - 2:00am

A panel discussion with designers and builders.

Free refreshments. Free discussion.

Are net zero energy houses really net zero? Northern Alberta has at least eight net zero homes. Some of them have been in operation for two years. We now have some preliminary data. Are our energy performance modeling tools sufficiently accurate? What more do we need to do to optimize the design? What improvements are possible? What new technologies are becoming available? The Solar Energy Society of Alberta is bringing together a distinguished panel of builders and designers to look at how we are doing and where we are headed in our quest to build completely self sufficient buildings in our Northern climate.
