He will also give an update on some recent DNA work that has been done on golden eagles: how closely related are the eagles that migrate up and down the Rocky Mountains every year to the resident birds that stay put all year round? Issues and ideas up for discussion include factors affecting the water quality of North Saskatchewan River Watershed and other Alberta watersheds, including aggregate extraction, non-point source pollution (e.g. fertilizer runoff and stormwater input), blue green algae blooms in lakes and fecal contamination at Alberta beaches.
