Field Trip - Sunday, May 1, 2016

Join us for a field trip to the Rachel Agnes Hayes 2 Property. It is a 169 ha (418 acres) property owned by the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) and is located on Boss Hill, north of Stettler. Prior to NCC’s purchase of the property in 2014, the property was a ranch used for cattle grazing. The property is a nice example of native Aspen Parkland with freshwater and saline wetlands, aspen forests, shrublands, and native grasslands. There are also beautiful views of Buffalo Lake from the west side of the property. We will meet at 10:00am and the walk will last about 2 hours. This trip will be led by Alan Dodd.
