Music for the Wild: The Wardens with guests Prairie's Edge

May 13 2012 - 1:00am

The Wardens are three Parks Canada park wardens sharing their stories through song. Backcountry horse patrols, mountain rescues and wildlife conflict all provide inspiration for these singing wardens whose “tales of adventure and misadventure” in the rocky mountain national parks have been set to music and verse. The evening's songs are accompanied by visuals and stories that give the audience an unforgettable way to experience what life is actually like for a park warden. Music For the Wild: Rob Heath with guests Christie Simmons & Brian Volke

Nov 6 2011 - 1:30am

Folk and Roots Music—for the whole family!

This third year for AWA's Music for the Wild series features a range of local musicians performing in support of Alberta's wild spaces.

A storyteller in the tradition of Harry Chapin, John Prine and Steve Earle, Rob Heath's original songs are a tasteful mix of contemporary folk, alt-country and pop. His one-man one guitar style is diverse melodically and rhythmically but always interesting. We all have things we wish we could say. Rob decided to say them with rich melodies and lyrics delivered in a voice haunting in its simplicity. Read more about Music For the Wild: Rob Heath with guests Christie Simmons & Brian Volke
