Heather Blush and The Uppercuts are a group of rogue troubadours based in Calgary, Alberta. Sassy, sultry, and just plain fun, they perform original songs designed to knock your socks off! With energetic, audience-engaging shows, Heather is quickly becoming known for songwriting that covers all bases between witty sarcasm and gutwrenching honesty. With “Captain” Steve Hazlett on drums, and “Duellin’ Dale Ulan” on upright bass, Heather Blush and The Uppercuts pack a punch and leave a lasting impression.
Emily Triggs is a bred-in-the-bone roots musician, at one of her creative peaks. Since the release of this summer’s album Middletown, Emily has played the Calgary & Vancouver folk festivals; two major Calgary folk Clubs (Rocky Mountain, Nickelodeon); and many other venues in Quebec and Alberta. You may have seen Emily at Music for the Wild as a member of The Magnolia Buckskin—it is a real treat to have her focus on her own music here on our stage.

Led by artist, Barbara Amos, we’ll be sketching Alberta’s grasslands while learning about their rich cultural and natural history. Sketching materials will be provided, however if you do want to get a little more creative, feel free to bring your own watercolours and brushes! Local beer and cider will be available for purchase.
Please note: This event is not suitable for children.
Wear your finest, don your mask and join us for a magical evening on the newly renovated Edmonton Riverboat, hosted by CTV's Graham Neil. There will be music, drinks, hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, and a silent auction. This masquerade is in support of WILDNorth, Northern Alberta's centre for rescue and compassionate care of injured and orphaned wildlife.
