Young Edmonton Grants

Deadline:
October 15, 2014

From the Edmonton Community Foundation:

We are pleased to announce the fall online application for the Young Edmonton Grants (YEG) program, a funding opportunity dedicated for young Edmonton and area residents, is now open! The deadline to submit applications is October 15 for projects occurring after December 1, 2014.

Tips for submitting an online application:

  1. Applicants will need to create a user name and password to complete the application (applicants will be e-mailed an authorization link to move on to the next step; check the junk folder). Note: if applicants created a user name and password last cycle, they will need to register again (feel free to use the same user name and password).
  2. Applicants will need to include contact information for the partnering charity  (charity name, contact name, and e-mail address).
  3. When applicants (young residents) submit the completed application, they will receive an automated e-mail confirming their application has been submitted (please be sure to check the junk folder if the e-mail isn’t in the inbox).
  4. Applicants should follow up with their contact at the partnering charity to confirm the automated e-mail link has been received and the YEG project reference form has been completed. If the charity does not submit its information by filling out the YEG project reference form the application will be considered incomplete.

If applicants run into any problems or have questions while completing the application, please contact Edmonton Community Foundation via e-mail at [email protected]

Background information on the Young Edmonton Grants Program

Have an idea you’re trying to make happen? Get up to $3,000 to make it real!

Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) has money dedicated to funding projects led and organized by young Edmonton and area residents. If you know any individuals, or groups, between the ages of 13 and 22 years old, who are working on an idea or a project, tell them to apply for the Young Edmonton Grants (YEG) Program!

Activities can be strictly for fun, or socially responsible, but ECF can only grant the money to a charity. Make sure you have a registered charity, or school, involved in order to apply. Grants range from $500 up to $3,000 per project.

If you know of any great events or projects happening this winter, encourage the organizers to apply. Please pass this message along to any young individuals who may be interested!
