New for 2015

In addition to the regular WSG funding, for 2015, Land Stewardship Centre, in partnership with the Education and Outreach division of Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development, is offering a new grant stream under the current Watershed Stewardship Grant (WSG) Program to fund wetland-specific projects in support of the Wetland Policy. Grants up to $10,000 will be issued in 2015 to eligible groups on a per-project basis. Get the wetland grant application form here >>

Background

Alberta’s grassroots watershed stewardship groups are making a difference. Since 2005, the Watershed Stewardship Grant Program, funded by Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development, has provided funding to the province’s stewardship community to support their efforts.

Through this program, grants of up to $10,000 (new amount for 2014) are awarded to watershed stewardship groups which are working in their communities to raise awareness of local watershed issues or improve the condition of their local watershed.
